ABOUT:
In the aftermath of an AI-driven apocalypse, survival is no longer about
technology, but trust.
When old friends Elara and Finn set out on a desperate elk hunt in the rugged
mountains of North Idaho, they expect only to track game, not to confront
the wounds that still divide them: unspoken betrayals, hidden grief, and a
silence where faith once lived.
Deep in the forest, they uncover an extraordinary secret. A cavern alive with
mystery draws them into a realm that transcends time and reality itself—a
place where messages are etched in stone, water, and light. The deeper they
go, the more the cavern reveals its sacred purpose: a place where the broken
can be restored, wounds reconciled, and faith renewed.
But not all forces honor sacred ground. Federal mining operations and
government intrusion threaten to strip Idaho’s land for profit—unaware of the
cavern’s hidden truth. As Elara and Finn struggle to mend their friendship and
rediscover their faith, they must decide how far they will go to protect what
they’ve found, before its mystery is lost forever.
Blending post-apocalyptic survival with timeless themes of forgiveness, hope,
and redemption, Sacred Caverns: Guardians of the Gateway invites readers
into a faith-inspired mystery that will leave them questioning what lies hidden
within—and how far they would go to protect it.
I grew up in North Idaho with my nose in a book and a pen in my hand, endlessly writing stories.
Somewhere between adulthood and midlife, I put the pen down, only to pick it up again at age 50. What began as a dream to write a faith-based fantasy fiction novel became something much deeper: a weaving together of real-life locations where I have lived and hunted, authentic relationship struggles, and moral dilemmas that mirror life itself.
Many of the characters and conflicts in Sacred Caverns: Guardians of the Gateway are reflections of my own relationships and my quest to reconcile past traumas and hurts. Through character dialogue,
I’ve been able to confront my own brokenness and discover God’s healing plan. Writing this novel over a two-year period has been part of my personal journey: a way to face wounds, rediscover my voice, and
illuminate the truth that God restores relationships, heals the deepest places of the soul, and strengthens our faith in what is possible. Sacred Caverns: Guardians of the Gateway also draws from real-world science; geology, geography, and quantum theory, while engaging with biblical questions about obedience, calling, and sacrifice.
Sacred Caverns: Guardians of the Gateway interweaves three storylines into one, carrying readers on a journey of faith, courage, and the ultimate call to lay everything down in obedience to God.
