Sometimes God places people in our lives to serve as mirrors—revealing unresolved issues deep within our souls. This could be a friend who is like a brother or sister to you, family member, or even a boss. Their actions may trigger something within you, like how someone talking over you reminds you of past hurts when you felt silenced. Or when someone you love refuses to make time for you, it stirs up feelings of abandonment and rejection. These moments are divine opportunities for God to shine His light on the parts of you that need healing.
Luke 8:17 - For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.
When a behavior deeply irritates or hurts you, ask yourself, Why does this bother me? God is a God of reconciliation, and He never wastes an opportunity to bring to the surface the things He desires to heal and make whole in you.
Next time you feel frustrated or triggered, pause and thank God for revealing what needs His healing touch. As you reflect, apply understanding, grace, and compassion to the situation—and watch how God’s healing power transforms your heart. Over time, those triggers will no longer stir frustration but will instead become instruments of God's grace, turning irritation into love, understanding, and compassion for yourself and others.
